IG Culture is a selector/producer best known as a pioneer producer of the broken beat movement. He also was co-founder of the Legendary Coop club at Londons Plastic People. Culture is one half of NameBrandSound with Alex Phountzi (Green Money, Bugz In The Attic) with releases on Ninja Tune and Arena Yard that blend the styles of footwork, dancehall, raregroove, and broken beat into their ‘brukwurks’ style. Ig recently launched ‘CoOp Presents’ label founded ‘Selectors Assemble’, and has hosted recent ‘CoOp Presents’ events in London for Sunfall Festival and Boiler Room Dimensions Festival and the Tate Modern.
